  • What Merchant Hotlines will be affected by the change?
      Metrobank Merchant Support landline numbers will be using the expanded 8-digit number format starting October 6, 2019 in compliance with the directive of the National Telecommunications Commission, Memorandum Order 10-10-2017.

  • Will the POS terminals be affected by this change?
      The upcoming migration will also affect our Dial-Up POS terminals, so merchants may expect a visit from our authorized representatives beginning Oct 6, 2019 for the necessary POS Terminal reprogramming.

      There will be no activity required if you are not using a Dial-Up POS terminal.
  • How will I know if my store is using a Dial-Up POS terminal?
      If the POS terminal is connected to a phone line, then you are using a Dial-Up POS terminal.

      Merchants with a Dial-Up POS terminal may expect a visit from our authorized representatives beginning Oct 6, 2019 for the necessary POS Terminal reprogramming.
  • Will my store still be able to process transactions using a Dial-Up POS terminal if it was not reprogrammed on Oct. 6, 2019?
      Yes, we have made arrangements to allow our merchants using Dial-Up POS terminals to continue processing transactions, while we complete the reprogramming activity for all affected terminals.
