Responsibilities

The position is responsible for providing general and routine technical support to a broad range of installation, patching, configuration, and updates to Operating Systems and non-OS vendor application requiring the ability to research, analyze, and resolve problems effectively to meet established performance metrics.

Requirements

  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Technology/Management or equivalent field
  • Has 2-3 years of work related experience in IT Technical Support Management
  • Knowledgeable in Credit Card Systems is an advantage
  • Knowledgeable in Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
  • Knowledgeable in Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) and other applicable standards
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage appropriate technical tools to perform day-to-day tasks, root-cause analysis and service restoration (such as backup, restore, failover, log interpretation, and performance monitoring)
  • Knowledgeable in vmWare infrastructure
  • Knowledgeable in storage administration
  • Knowledgeable in Non-Windows operating system (RedHat and Oracle Linux)
  • Proficient in installation & troubleshooting of desktops, laptops, servers, storage
  • Knowledgeable in scripting and automation (Cron, TaskScheduler, Powershell, Visual basic and Batch file)
  • Knowledgeable in MS SQL and Oracle databases is an advantage
  • Proficient in managing Windows 7, Windows servers and other Non-Windows operating system
  • Strong background in Client server management including Active Directory, Email Systems, Applications and Web
  • Knowledgeable in Local and wide area Networking
  • Has applied strong analytical skills to review information and formulate alternative solutions to problems
  • Has demonstrated ability to adapt and stay current with changing technology, in both hardware and software
