Department – Unit: Shared Services

Responsibilities

To direct and control the overall operations of the facilities unit which include management of the external vendor responsible for property management. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring the most suitable working environment for all employees and tenants of MCC and using best practice to improve efficiency thereby reducing cost while increasing productivity. The position also has overall responsibility in the efficient and effective management of the transport, messengerial, fixed assets, and canteen concessionaire services for internal customers’ satisfaction.

The position is involved in both strategic planning and day to day operations particularly in relation to building and premises such as:

• Building contract management
• Building and grounds maintenance
• Cleaning
• Health and Safety
• Utilities and communications infrastructure
• Space management

Span of Control

Direct Report – 1 for asset management with close supervision of external vendor for facilities (i.e. Facilities Management, Janitorial / Messengerial)

Indirect Reports – 2 (Supervisor of External Vendors)

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree holder; preferably graduate of business course
• Has at 5 to 7 years of work related experience in facilities management and general services.
• At least 5 years of experience in pe ople management and dealing with external vendors / contactors
• Has broad understanding of the different segments of the credit card business
• Proficient in the following Microsoft applications: Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Proficient in the use of autocad software
• Preferably with architecture and/or civil engineering background
